Inspired by GLOOMER’s exploration of identity, consciousness, spirituality, personal freedom, belief systems, self-discovery, human potential, emerging technologies, collective intelligence, and humanity’s ongoing search for deeper understanding beyond dogma, fear, and limitation, while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and conscious personal growth.

31 jan 2012 (Rating : 2/10) Painfully close to nothing, but not quite there.

In the early 2010s, GLOOMER dropped “THETANS,” a dark dance electronic journey made in FL Studio 9. It dives into the idea of thetans, immortal spiritual beings from Scientology that control our bodies and shape who we are, like a soundtrack for exploring hidden parts of the mind and soul.

It’s not preachy; it paints a sonic picture of identity, creation, and spiritual power, while quietly warning: explore this stuff, but don’t dive too deep into cults. Stick to what lifts you up.

From today’s 2.0 lens, that massive upgrade in human awareness, tech, and potential, this track feels like an early spark. Old ideas saw humans as bodies haunted by spirits or trapped in rigid belief systems. GLOOMER’s music hints at something bigger: we’re not just commanded by invisible forces; we can consciously hack our own “thetans,” rewrite our inner code, and level up beyond dogma. It captures that restless search for meaning in a pre-AI, pre-neural tech world, where spirituality often meant following someone else’s rules.

The real 2.0 upgrade flips it entirely. We move from fearing or worshiping mysterious soul-entities to actively engineering consciousness, using tools like meditation tech, brain interfaces, and collective intelligence to become the creators. Thetans become metaphors for our untapped potential: infinite, resilient, and free from old traps. Instead of cautionary beats warning against cults, we build systems that boost clarity, connection, and joy without the drama.
Looking back, tracks like this were cool stepping stones in humanity’s playlist, reminding us to question and vibe higher. We will jam to music that literally syncs with upgraded minds, turning “spiritual resonance” into daily reality. No more shadowy thetans bossing us around; we’re the DJs now.
And hey, if a thetan tries to audit your playlist… just tell it to upgrade its firmware. 😂
