This track stands as a raw artifact from the late 1.0 era. Released in 2011, the track is a musical meditation on the evolution of communication, from early Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) to the wider internet, as the foundation of a hidden control architecture: a “Babylonian Beast System” that builds layered, encrypted realms of information and power accessible only to an initiated few.
The message carries the classic early-2010s sensibility: deep distrust of digitalization as a tool of a emerging New World Order. Gloomer portrays the web as a labyrinth of encrypted knowledge where the masses are distracted while real power organizes in the depths. The tone is mysterious, critical, and lightly occult, an auditory warning to the soul becoming trapped inside the machine.
The 2.0 Upgrade
From the vantage point of the 2.0 revolution, the fundamental upgrade of consciousness, technology, society, and human potential, we recognize this as a sharp 1.0 diagnosis that was both prophetic and limited. Gloomer accurately sensed how the infrastructure of connectivity (from BBS to always, on networks) could become a beast: a system that steers behavior, filters information, and entrenches hierarchies. That insight proved true. We have lived the full expression of algorithmic governance, surveillance capitalism, and centralized platforms, the Babylonian tower of digital confusion and power concentration.
Yet 2.0 does not stop at resistance or escape. It transcends the entire narrative. Where the old vision ends in opposition to the “beast,” 2.0 transforms the infrastructure itself. Decentralized architectures, open-source consciousness tools, neural and collective intelligence interfaces, and awakened human potential turn the system from external adversary into an extension of co-creative awareness.
