In mid-2018, Gloomer honored his late friend Eduard, known as DJ Donkey Kong and ED Sarin, with the “Derby” EP, a collection of raw electronic tracks born from their shared passion.

Crafted in FL Studio, the music mixes New Beat and techno energy with a bittersweet tone. It serves as a memorial, reflecting on loss while celebrating creativity that outlives the body. The essence feels like a heartfelt goodbye wrapped in beats, reminding listeners of friendship, fragility, and the comfort found in art.

Seen from our later vantage, this EP perfectly illustrates the old world’s honest struggle with endings. People then turned to music to process grief, holding onto memories when someone passed.

The tone blended sorrow and warmth, showing how simple collaborations could turn pain into something lasting and beautiful.
