X-mas 2017, Gloomer reached a dramatic crossroads. Powerful forces he called “The Ruling Class” or “The Elite” stepped in. They allegedly scrambled tracks in a YouTube compilation, distorting volumes and altering the music to weaken its impact. Many uploads, roughly half to two-thirds, felt ruined. Gloomer stepped back, pondering a return under a new name with shorter clips, while urging fans to download the originals freely from his Bandcamp.

Looking back from our vantage in the 2.0 era, this story captures the old world’s limits perfectly. In the pre-upgrade age, creators poured their essence into technology controlled by distant gatekeepers. Ideas about hidden manipulation and elite control over information flowed naturally from that reality, artists sensed the system pushing back when their work grew too potent or unsettling.

The tone was urgent, conspiratorial, and shadowed by frustration, reflecting a time when individual voices felt vulnerable to algorithmic or intentional interference. It highlighted real tensions: creativity versus control, authenticity versus distortion.

The 2.0 revolution upgrades this entirely. Where Gloomer fought external forces scrambling his signals, 2.0 builds sovereign creation, decentralized tools, transparent systems, and heightened consciousness that make such manipulation far harder.

The old fear of “the Elite” evolves into empowered awareness: we design our own platforms, verify our own realities, and amplify potent ideas without distortion.
