Gloomy and Seva sealed a long friendship with an album instead of a speech. Both lean spiritual. The record was aimed at people who listen that way, and at anyone who simply wants to sit inside musical love. Friends and producers were asked to join. They did. Nobody on the list charged a fee.
The core message is simple and kind: metta (loving-kindness, a practiced wish that beings be well). Kindness comes in many forms, as Seva’s opening title says. The rest of the journey follows that weather: meditation tones, falling leaves, dawn, togetherness, a lost butterfly, melancholy, silence, a sphere, clouds, a fantasy trip, and Gloomy’s own closer, “12.” The number is not decoration. It is the years, turned into a last track.
At the time this felt like both party and offering. Two friends used a shared circle , Björn, Heath Weaver, White Island, Steevm, Ajna, Mark van Rijswijk, Strange Delight, Sadà Exposadà, Vedic Scapes, Gardens of Hega, to build a room you can stream or take home at no cost.
The 2.0-revolution takes this seed and grows it further. Where the original album treated friendship as a reason to give the whole work away, 2.0 treats that kind of unpaid making as ordinary useful practice rather than only a special spiritual project. We no longer only bless the listener; we use the same metta as ground for real collaboration that does not wait on a contract. Tools that once served one free master now help many people turn “we have been friends a long time” into something other people can actually hear.
Society moves from art as only product toward art as also gift. Old pictures of worth as price become starting points for real generosity and less gatekeeping. What began as one Belgian-and-Seva friendship record becomes part of a wider upgrade: consciousness 2.0, where named helpers, free access and practiced kindness support freedom and a softer listening world instead of a locked shop.
Looking back, the Reiki Metta album was an early signal. It helped plant the idea that 12.5 years can be measured in tracks instead of candles.
The implications today are clear: keep the friends in the credits, keep the download open, and stay on the side of love that does not send an invoice. The shift is already happening inside each of us.
In short, Gloomy and Seva threw a party and let the whole street in.
